VFE counselor nominated for national LifeChanger of the Year award

Congratulations to Victor Falls Counselor Kaitlyn Johnson, who has been nominated for National Life Group’s 2024-25 LifeChanger of the Year award. Sponsored by the National Life Group Foundation, LifeChanger of the Year recognizes and rewards the very best K-12 educators and school district employees across the United States who are making a difference in the lives of students by exemplifying excellence, positive influence, and leadership.

Kaitlyn was nominated for her commitment to guiding children through the process of developing important life skills. She’s helping shape the next generation to be more self-aware, empathetic, and resilient.

Passionate about fostering social-emotional learning in children, Kaitlyn believes every child deserves access to education in a safe and supportive environment where they can thrive and grow.

Kaitlyn’s mission is to build essential skills in children that will stay with them throughout their lives. By providing opportunities for students to learn and express their feelings, she is helping them develop emotional intelligence, a critical foundation for becoming successful, emotionally intelligent adults.

Selected by a committee, 17 winners will be surprised at their school beginning in late March. Winners will receive money ranging from $3,000 to 10,000 to be shared with their school/district.
